EnviroFest

Newfoundland Power is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner. We play a leadership role in creating public awareness around sustainability, energy conservation and the importance of preserving our environment for future generations.

EnviroFest is Newfoundland Power’s annual celebration of the environment, offering funding and hands-on support for initiatives that encourage positive environmental action throughout our province. Whether it’s improving a park area, enhancing a trail system, planting trees, starting a recycling program or adding/refurbishing a green space, these projects are aimed at enhancing the quality of life in communities across the province for many years to come through environmental action.

We are happy to announce the EnviroFest 2021 community beautification projects:

  • Trinity Bay North Community Garden, Catalina, Wednesday, July 7 at 9:00 a.m.;
  • Stephenville Town Square, Friday, July 16 at 1:30 p.m.;
  • East Meadows Community Garden, St. John's, Thursday, August 12 at 6:00 p.m.;
  • Corey Kenway Trail, Baine Harbour, Friday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m.; and,
  • Lakewood Academy Park, Glenwood.

We look forward to working with these like-minded environmental partners to enhance green spaces in our communities and create awareness about the importance of preserving our environment for future generations.

This year's EnviroFest events will be dependent on the status of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the public health measures and guidelines that are in place at that time. The dates and times for each EnviroFest 2021 project will be announced in the coming weeks.
